Desert unfoldes is a One of a kind unique piece and it is out of stock!
I layer colors on slabs of clay, then, throw the colored slabs of clay to the ground and stretch the clay – causing the colors to break. I, then hand build into a ball pieces of this slab and add dark colored (spotted tera cotta) to high light contrast. The pillar is a layered stoneware clay: Mustared with spots. I add clay, makuing cuts, reliefs and layering.
glazed with matt clear glaze on the outside of the pot, only on the colored pieces. I use dark oxides to highlite the layers.
Fired to high temperature.
size: aprox.22cm/8.8" diameter  24cm/9.5" height.
Hand washing is always preferred for any handmade clay piece made of stoneware clay.
